One Piece: Unlimited Adventure

Arghhh, looks so good. I don't want to mod my Wii, but I don't want to wait for a Loader either.

 

i want a Japanese Wii. But i don't have any money.

 

this game is looking awesome so far. I cant wait until I'm able to buy this game. (speaking of which, I'll be getting a new job soon, meaning I'll be able to afford a JPN wii, along with this game, and bleach wii! woot!)

holy crap, they even have ace's genki dama of doom. now I REALLY want this game!
and usopp/sogeking looks like he'd be fun to play as XD

Picked it up today on a whim. Game is really good so far.

Smoker kicked my ass however.

Yes, they are using Smoker, ZoRo, etc. in this, so this could be a good sign of what the uncut version of the dub will be like. Also, it does use the new cast of the anime.

And yeah smoker was a bit tough but i kicked his ass only losing nami. But watch out for mihawk, he got some killer combos.

 

yeah... unfortunately I didnt realize that you had to go to the camp to save the damn game.

so i am having to redo everything up to smoker again.

 

Nothing has been hard so far... A guide said Kaku was hard... I never lost a single person, and only had to heal once. Been using Zoro the whole time.

 

finally got all the crew now.

managed to take down 90% of smoker using just chopper. His AA attack is REALLY good.

 

I lost Luffy against Smoker. Finished him off with Chopper. Then I spent around 20-30 minutes trying to get back to the camp to revive Luffy, but I couldn't find it. I did eventually find it when I went ALL the way to the edge and saw the small path back to camp, but before that, I thought I had jumped off a cliff to get to that first area, so I was trying to run and jump to get back up.

Anyway, I like it so far. The only thing that didn't really go well with me was Franky's voice. It just wasn't what I was expecting. Also, during some of the flashbacks, the strength of the emotion behind some of the VO was lacking. The main one I noticed this with was the flashback when Luffy defeated Arlong and was telling Nami that they're friends. I remember Luffy screaming it out in the anime, but this one seemed to lack that strength. That would be the main reason that I would want to play the JP version, since the voices would be the ones that we're used to hearing.

Anyway, good game. The versus mode seems a bit lacking though. It just isn't very fluid.

 

The vo for both english and japanese were done again, that scene didn't have the same emotion in japanese either but i know what you mean i love that scene when Luffy tells nami there friends.

I like franky's voice actually. The one single voice that i'm not feeling is Senji and i believe it's cause the lack of emotion. My fav voices are luffy, smoker, and zoro. All sound great and up to par with the Japanese version and hell smoker IMO sounds even better.

Anyway up to jungle area, i like exploring, never gets boring for me

 

I don't hate any of the voices, just some of them are a bit strange. Luffy sounds like Chibi Trunks. Zoro IS Piccolo.

Man, I was lost in the jungle for so long. I didn't know where to go at first. Turns out there was a small exit near the poison mushroom thing.

 

sure would have liked it if blackbeard was in this game.

 

are there any future plans for an rpg one piece game? i know naruto has one coming out to the ds

 

This has some RPG elements in it. Leveling up and all but no, no RPG's yet.

 

Who played the JP version? Is the US version easier? We're discussing it on GFAQs, not sure as of yet.

 

Doubt there's a difference though could be wrong.

I'm on the jungle area, i can see why people found this a pain in the ass, it is But i love the combat/adventure so it doesn't bother me.

P.S. - How do i get gear 2 for luffy? I got his gum gum no storm.

New OP adventure game out for the Wii, anyone else got it? I got it on Wednesday, not that far into it barely up to the Spandam boss fight. Really good game so far but the item collection is annoying as hell.

 

I've been checking that game out, looks kinda cool

Let's say that we remove the One Piece out of the game and replace it with some other shit, would it still be a great game?

 

It'd be decent, fighting system and level up systems are good and adventure mode is fun overall (except for those damn item collection crap)

All I know is, I saw a poster ad for OPA in which Nami and Robin were wearing revealing outfits, and now I wanna go buy it.

 

Agreed for the Nami and Robin's costumes but when I saw the on of Luffy I lol'd...
