If you had been more gentlemanly, they probably would have taken this suggestion seriously.

    *sigh*

I do believe that you asked for it in the wrong manner, old chap.

if they are password protected, how will people join them?

you don't want a fanclub, you want a private posting area with only the people you want having access, and frankly, on a public forum, this is unfair.

    just use chats.

Well why is the reason you want it? Will it do any better the forum also?

I knew there was a reason that I didn't agree with him on this one.... :/

@Kisame: Yeah, that's what MSN and AIM are for. The only way for your suggestion to work is by having anyone that wants to join a fanclub PM the owner. Which will only leave owners of popular or multiple fanclub's inboxes full to the brim. It would be more of a hassle for everyone than anything else.

I think ando does it that way simply because he rarely posts in the GB fanclub, and would have to look through pages and pages of posts to add new members.......actually, it just might work.

I doubt that any of the staff would be up to it though.
If you want to get technical, it's really people from the US that have the accents, and not the British......>>

password protected fc's will just lead to elitism imo

I don't see a good reason given for a password protected fc either :/

I wouldn't mind, it would keep idiots out of the fanclubs for example kyuubi, he spammed up the le gasp fanclub up quite well some weeks ago.

I just want to know which FC you want password protected, because so far no one has joined the Miyata FC anyway.

    I think it's a decent idea.

But it should have a option...like if you want to set a password up or not. Cause I know it gets annoying when certain people enter an FC and do nothing but spam and shit.

This is a really good suggestion.

It would keep flammers out of the pairing fanclubs.

Better yet, you would need a password to actually post in the FC itself but you don't need one to view it. It would solve flamming in a lot of FC's.

This cannot be done because fanclubs are for anyone to come in and be apart of.

    Flaming should just be reported.

Take into consideration that we do not allow for duplicate fanclubs, therefore if you password protect FC's, it means the owner gets to suddenly pick and choose who has access and who doesn't.

So if, for instance - you want to join the Naruto Fanclub, but the owner doesn't particularily like you, he could just deny you the password.

But you aren't allowed to make a Naruto Fanclub for yourself, so then what?

    DRAMA.

    So no.

FC's are NOT CLANS. They are FANCLUBS and open to anyone who wishes to join them for the purpose of celebrating the topic.
