Satoshi Mizukami's finally getting an anime adaption. It's not Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, but it's better than nothing.

Read all of his manga if you guys haven't.

And it's coming out this summer too?

I'm reading that this is an original work that he wrote an 1000+ page draft for.
And that there'll be a manga of it released as well.

Always wondered if he would ever get something adapted,
But didn't expect him to break into anime in this big of a way.
    Awesome.

A script written by Mizukami? Ok, yea. I'm 100% going to watch this.

Sucks it's not Biscuit Hammer or Sengoku Youko, but I'll watch or read anything by Mizukami.

    Everything he makes is gold.

My Little Lucifer Can't Be Making This Kinda Cameo!

Seeing Mizukami's style of character designs animated is filling me with happy and positive vibes.
It got pretty heavy there too - the firefighter scene especially caught me off guard. But I shoulda expected as much from Mizukami's writing.

I'm pretty biased, but I do feel this was a pretty solid to outstanding first episode.

Yeah, you can definitely see touches of Mizukami's writing all over the place.

    Ep 2 Get!

Just when I thought this was in danger of being a bit too formulaic,
Things were shaken up considerably at the end.

And will Soya ever get some meat?

Poor kid not getting his promised meat. That fake chicken shit and bean shit need to fuck off :scust

Meanwhile the Old Man proves himself to be the best character with his steak obsession. He literally eats steak places out of business :lmao

Judo loli wasn't as good as firefighter bro.

Took a break after the first 3 eps
Just watched the next 3 eps.

    I'm conflicted
On one hand, I'm mad at myself for not following this weekly
On the other, I'm mad at myself for not waiting till the entire thing was done until I marathoned it.
Well, atleast I still have 3 more eps to go till I catch up.

But yeah, all the way through 6, I was wondering to myself, how is this only the halfway point? But yeah, that was pretty great. The CG mech fights have all been pretty impressively choreographed and executed, and I got to admit, the muffled impact sound effects have been something I've found myself loving more and more every time I hear em.

Benika is stacked AND a redhead as well?
If Nagisa wasn't around, she'd have been best grill of the season on that alone

But yeah, did a short marathon from 7 to 10. It was awesome.
I've seen it mentioned that the 1st 6 episodes felt like a season 1
And that these last 4 felt like a season 2
These last 2 eps will finish it all off
And then we're back to hoping for more anime from Mizukami :awesome
