I think that once they get to Gen 9, instead of bothering to remake Gen 5 unless they plan on removing Pokemon Bank (retarded idea btw), they should release a Pokemon Z game instead that's a remake of XY with the missing features and better graphics

I still remember HGSS having an auto-run button. Why the hell was that ever dropped for the rest of the DS games?

You could tap a button on your lower screen on and off to turn running shoes on and off. It was the first game where you didn't need to hold anything told to use them.

For the same reason Day/Night cycles and daily events were lost from the original G/S going to R/S. No freaking idea. GF never seem to keep those small QoL changes that improve their games so much. :ryuukobored

The problem with daily events prior to the DS era is that it was based on an internal clock, which meant you had to wait full days in the game to do things like the Bug Catching Contest or catch Lapras. This is why on replays I always started on Thursday. A day night cycle being kept would've been nice though, but they did add weather.

I see, that is a lot more dynamic, I wonder why gamefreak just doesn't give like better animations to the more popular mons, while the mons known to be less popular get the low effort animations. That way they could fit all mons, and if the 3 people who are a fan of the most obscure mon complain that their mon looks inanimate, nobody will give a poop. :zaru

Really?! That sounds hilarious and like something straight out of a comedy. :catroll

How do you feel about the representation of Galar Girl? Is it accurate or more of a caricature of your people? :catthinks

What's it like to live in Scotland? :catdrake Is it a fun place? Boring? :catplan

Caricatures are funny. Regardless, if Scots started to complain about things like Scottish caricatures and funny mock Scots accents, we'd pretty much lose our chief exports.

Scotland is basically just England with extra hills.

Scots are great then, since they don't make a hissy fit about wee characters. :catcaneUnlike some other groups, that get their bunches tied in a knot and scream bloody murder at the drop of a pin!! :catmad

What's England like then? :catprone Is it a fun place? Boring? :catthinks

All these places seem fantastical and other-wordly to me. :catippy I'm never disappointed when I visit a new region though. :catprotecc My own homeland is flat and boring, probably because I explored the heck out of it.

I wonder if giving the fully evolved mons only detailed animations would still be too hard, how much of the dex is fully evolved/standalone mons, ~50%?

that vid does look great tbh... :hmm
although I would imagine doing that animation with every pokemon and every move they use
might be a bit too much... :hmm

especially if they will have to do everything else as well (the region, new pokemon, moves, abilities, items, characters, gimmicks...etc) :hmm

I'm not much of a traveller, to be honest. I consider it boring mostly because it's just ordinary, but perhaps it's just ordinary to me.

Really?! I see. :psyduck England and Scotland are on my places to go someday list, so I'm hoping it will be phenomenal. I want some of them fish and chips I hear so much about. :catnoms
That's a nice commercial they got there. :catdrake Was that Pika dynamaxed or gigamaxed? I heard that Dynamaxed Pikachu would look like his retro form, which is actually my favorite design of the Pika.

Sometimes I wonder why they changed his design. :catthinks

I like slimmer Pikachu more but I can see why some might like his older design more. There is a certain cuteness to it.
