Starting from Ultramar, Primarchs travel through galaxy(one ship w unlimited fuel) and seek out all tyranids that have arrived from start. Also there are no other forces to aid them. Will tyranids overwhelm them eventually when they run into big enough sub-fleet, adapt to beat em or will primarchs sweep it within few milleniae?

Assuming that Horus is his Chaos suped self, and that Lorgar-Magnus-Angron-Mortarion-Fulgrim are Daemon Princes and won't fade out in the Shadow of the Warp, they probably take it. I just don't see how they could break that core.
