    I didn't have a phone update, I just tried switching skins and back and so far it hasn't happened again recently. Not yet anyway.

    well if you're on android... you could see in settings --> about phone --> software update

    there you could see an update history section with the date you last updated on

    I'm still 98.99% certain it's user error and the problem is stopping because we became conciously aware of it and scroll with the intention of avoiding it.
