Following my Karin experiment, I started experimenting a bit with gradients, so I got this:

It's not as refined as my Karin fanart, because I was experimenting with different things. Still, I consider it enough of a success to complete that Inkscape tutorial of mine! :whoo

It's here if you're interested in Inkscape:

I normally don't like to do "original" work, since I'd rather do fanarts, but I wanted to put the work under a Creative Commons license so I decided to not use a fanart just then. Ah well.

Now to experiment more with Inkscape. :plot

Oh, I like how you did her face, and the red for the folds of her outfit is interesting. For a second I thought she was covered in blood, anyway, I think the lines on her chest look a little strange, particularly on the right side. While I understand they are there because one of the sleeves is falling down her shoulder, it still makes it look like she is missing the roundness of one breast.

    Thanks for the comments! :laugh

It's simple though. I never could draw clothes, and I still can't. XP

And as for the pose, I really should have used a reference, or something, but even though I have gathered a number of references in the past I still can't seem to get myself to use them for some reason. :blink

Ah well, this was an Inkscape experiment. Not an anatomy experiment. XD

I really like the effects of the ink, it's strong and deep and Sakura looks really cool here. A very good drawing considering also the fact that you didn't use a reference. Personally, I think it's not easy at all to make a drawing without a minimal reference.^^

I love the expression, and the way the eyes stand out from all the red and pink. I just don't get the hand part, though. It looks kind of deformed imo.

    But it's pretty good. :amuse

Very nice, though the folds are too exaggerated. :D
