i feel like his entire power was expended in creating the mist, and was thus a complete pushover in the fight

that's how i explained it in my head anyway

also i hate the enfeebling thing the nobles do, there's always gotta be one of those reg enemies in a soulsborne game, like the irithyll jailers and the winter lanterns

    they're a staple

    but fuck 'em :robotkun

you peek into the roof and think the bloody hell is that thing, pucker your blade, but he gets 3 hit
you expect a cheeky nother phase on corrupted monk like ape but it's just a standard fight

I didn't know wolf could attack while he's in that state. Saw a video of deathblowing one by literally dropping on them and eating them or something, what the fuck

I'm so relieved that Isshin doesn't have the ashina elite quick draw move. I could never get the timing on that right and the red eyed version literally 2 hits you with that if you fuck up :wow
(cheesed him with the sabimaru lol)

I enjoyed snake eyes way more in NG+ once I got somewhat better at deflecting, especially that slow drawn out grab move.

Armored knight was one of the more unique minibosses.

I was fine with the apes because you could still deflect the giant swings they would take
Also I was surprisingly rarely caught by the giant jump grab it would do, but maybe that's the reason. Like, when it would start walking upright and weird I knew that the grab was coming so I would book before the perilous grab would start.
Like I got the game because damn the defecting based combat looks amazing and that was the main appeal to me. I never got into dark souls because people kept saying it's really difficult (and the gameplay looked like people kept rolling a lot). I realize from this thread that many people had issues with the difficulty in sekiro because they kept trying to "roll" and the timing is much less forgiving for the i-frames here.

Finally beat Owl (Father). Great boss but it’s too soon for me to be a good sport about it. That was brutal and probably took me 100 tries.

Good summary. My favorites are firecrackers, shuriken and sabimaru but you’re right that it depends on the application. I liked baiting all the monks at Senpou Temple to run after me then using the golden vortex fan to kill 15 of them at once. All those extra drop items were nice too. The fully upgraded sabimaru has been great for farming at Fountainhead.

I LOVED the demon, I do not mind hitbox, if you run in diagonal near his arm he will never hit you and you can deflect the stomps or bloq them because posture does not matter in this fight, you are just fighting something so big and strong so the style makes sense, he also gives you plenty of time to hit him with all his amazing Jiraiya posing, then lorewise knowing who he is and what will become of you if you follow that path :tearspepe I just like the last boss more than him because he is a total badass but the demon is near cause of the lore.

All of the threads in this section get put in a hidden archive every few months. The point is to start fresh.

Some nominated threads with enough votes get visibly saved and put in The Dumpster. If you want this thread saved (although we won’t be able to post in it anymore) hit the “agree” button . See below.

I wish currently active threads were carried over but that’s a debate for another day.

Trying to see if we can merge this thread with the Arcade Sekiro thread to save it from the prune (happening Monday). I don’t think it’s going to get enough votes to be saved and I’m not done with the game so I’d rather the thread survived.

I didn't even get time to post my witty reply about pruning this thread being dumber than people complaining about a lack of tits in Mortal Kombat 11.

I defeated the Owl too yesterday.

It was a cool fight, just like with Genichiro. I reckon Fromsoft put more effort into the bosses in this location than into all the recycled mini bosses.

So far I didn't find any of the bosses in this game to be too unfair or frustrating. Most of the times when I lose I know I just fucked up. Fantastic game.

Once you realize how much of an idiot you're being in what you're doing it becomes pretty simple.
