This is explicitly stated by Kurama
I can't wait to see these animated
Inb4 the season ends with meliodas death or a cliffhanger on Escanor looking down on estarossa
I wonder what will be the movie plot vampiers of edinbrugh ? Or some non canon plot like dbz movies
The season will ends at Fraudin's death. He will start the season with the revival of the 10C, and he will die at the end.
Most likely a new plot, a recap will be the most stupid thing to do honestly and I believe that the vampires of side stories will be in the season 2 as well.
Like an OAV, we get the same thing back then with the season 1.
Cool, give me anything NNT animated. cbf to read the mango but it's dope so, gimme ey.
That sounds the most plausible. Perhaps they should make the Commandment's defeat back at Liones less "final" so that it won't seem redundant to have them appear as villains again in a possible 3rd season.
I do hope that the film turns out to be the Vampires of Edinburgh adaptations. Would be amazing to see it get animated.

Could it be we are getting the Edinburgh side chapter in OVAs?
I expected something like that too, cool.
OHHH YEEAAAAAH Can't wait to see Escanor bombing Edinburgh
Meh about the movie, but the Sparkling Sun sparked my interest. @LordPerucho where did you find that?
But why no S2 though? A movie won't cover much, they're generally 90 minutes long, so that's nowhere near the necessary length to show everything from the TCs breaking free of their seal, to I don't know Mel's death.
It's as if the mountain had brought forth a mouse...
Season 2> Movie, kinda like Naruto when they did the The Last (If the NNT movie is canon)...
Isn't this related to S2?
Wasn't s2 supposed to come out this year??
It's been cancelled or what? @Dayscanor
You mean this?
Ok looks like I was confused a bit. So the new season is going to be aired in January, then the movie will come out in summer.
It seems I haven't seen that.
The season 2 will be for January 2018 ( winter 2018 ) and the movie for summer 2018. The confirmation back then was that NNT will have a season 2 but without a specific date.
Now, you have the date.
Welp I would have preferred if they hired a new studio, but looks like they're still going for shitty A-1.
The movie is bound to have better animation. So that's good.
I hope that the animation will be better than season 1.
Looks at how they animated Magi season 2 for example, it was beautiful, I expect the same thing as well for NNT.
Now, they will makes a lot of effort since the franchise became huge and popular compared to 2014.
Dunno what you're talking about, the S2 of Magi featured some pretty bad animation overall, more than S1.Notably the whole Fanalis vs Magnostadt fight. They only managed to give some good animation for Aladdin's part.
Or the infamous Kouha vs Black Djinns, that shit was terrible.
The quality of animation was much more consistent in S1.Which to me is more important.
The S1 of NnT featured some good animation on the very first episodes, then it completely fell flat. That is why it needs to be more consistent overall, rather than have a couple of episodes that are well animated.
Oh really? I don't felt it like that tho.
Imo it's better to have ok but consistent quality throughout a season, than have a couple of episodes or just fractions of episodes have some pretty good animation, and the rest is crap.
But that's just my opinion.Overall let's hope they improve the animation a bit because so far it's been lacking.
That makes no sense story or marketing wise for them to not end it with Meliodas' death
It would be a great cliffhanger for the anime IMO. A great cliffhanger will always attract folks, because they will let their curiosity get the best out of them.
I need to watch S1
You know deep down that I'm maybe right ( or 50% that I can be right ). Anyway, Ending in Meliodas's death will work indeed if the series was a seinen ( killing the protagonist isn't shocking and the target audience is mature enough to swallow the event ), but unfortunately, it is a shonen and bad ending doesn't exist in that kind of genre at 80%.
It is almost 100% when you know that the studio is A1 Pictures.
