Should the anime enter in a hiatus of 3 years..

Discussion in 'New Leaf' started by Deleted member 269246, Oct 13, 2018.

  1. So the manga has enough material for it to cover? They won't make the manga weekly, imagine the quality downgrade, it would be even worse than what it is. Too much filler at this moment.

Is there any hope for Boruto series? I saw in the ratings thread that even ratings suck.

  3. True but with the anime in Adult Swim it might last at least one more year.

  5. That is normal for new dubs.
Volume 6 ranked third? Nice! How is it doing now?
Ratings aren't very good. From 3+ it starts being good. Below 2 is bad, 2.5 is decent.

That would not go well. The anime seems to be received a lot more well than the manga. And they just put out the dub.

I think they need to rework how the manga itself operates. Either biweekly releases or let the anime lead as Rai said.

I mean they just need Kodachi who is a writer

if the manga fails you grab him and have him do the anime

    therefore solving the weekly issues

  9. I don't really like Kodachi as a writer but that is me..

There is no hope for the Boruto series. It will either decline or stay constantly irrelevant before it ends.

Everything he told you was misinformed:

    1) Boruto's toonami ratings have already dropped in its second week.
    2) Volume 6 continues the trend of each Boruto volume selling worse than the previous. It opened <100k which puts it near the bottom of WSJ's sellers that also have anime. At this rate, Black Clover should surpass it soon.
    3) Boruto ratings are generally in the 1.x region. Its an all time low for Naruto despite being in a prime time slot.

    lol thank you.

    1) and 2) wow, that is bad. Why would that guy say things like it was great?
    3) I saw the ratings on the other thread, they are bad alright.

Why did you give me bad information?

    2) He's a diehard Boruto fanboy that thinks its the greatest show on Earth

  16. Cho Cho arc was horrible. I see what you mean. Honda needs to go then. :angrywife

Greatest show on earth? Who can think this about Boruto? :blink

I did not know diehard Boruto fanboys existed. I will be cautious from now on with him. tks

You are spending too much time with zensuki. Don't be a desperate guy like him. He is addicted to Boruto hence his continuous post in anything related to Boruto even tho he hates the show but unlike him, those who hate it have dropped it and forgotten about it but he keeps coming back

Then why doesn't he move on like any other naruto fan who are disappointed with Boruto. Many people are disappointed with Boruto mostly the anime which killed many people vibes with friendly, fluff episodes but you don't see them posting in Boruto related threads, posting flawed arguments and when debunked negs you, praying for it to end blah blah. He is addicted hence me calling him desperate. The most vocal hater for Boruto in youtube swagkage dropped Boruto silently and he stopped talking about it but you don't see him insulting or talking bad about it on twitter do you? He moved on to something else
Yeah i like Boruto but I am disappointed in it mostly the anime. The manga is alright but the pace is killing the vibe. The Boruto series is by no means world class or extremely poor, it's pretty average but people can't just let go of it since it's the sequel of Naruto which is very popular

  20. I can understand where you are coming from but why shouldn't he voice his disappointment and manifest his dislike the way he does? We are all different.

A lot of decisions being made are hurting the anime. The Manga pace is an issue but the plot of the manga is also not solid enough. The hype for the next manga chapter is Naruto and Kawaki buying a vase, like.. for real?

Oh no, am not against him voicing his opinion, but he talks bad about Boruto in any Boruto related thread. He does not want to hear or acknowledge anything Good about Boruto. Even if Boruto is outselling MHA in sales, he would not be happy and would find a way to invalidate it, so he is not disappointed with Boruto, he HATES Boruto, so his opinion literally comes of as trolling or another zensuki stunt. Boruto is doing well in toonami and any fan who likes it or disappointed in it would be happy that Boruto is doing well at least in toonami even tho it's doing terrible in sales but not him, he is angered by it and would find a way to invalidate it or hides till Boruto start doing bad then he would come out to talk bad about it
The so called cannon which to me is filler in the anime is killing the vibes of Boruto which is inevitable as the manga is monthly which is a bad decision. The art is not helping matters either. The plot is good as kodachi is trying to tell his own story with Boruto and introducing new things but ikemoto can't do weekly schedule hence why the pacing is bad. If this was a weekly manga then these SOL chapters would not affect the manga but we are waiting for a whole month just to get a SOL chapter tho it's beneficial but it kills the vibes also as people want the plot to move forward

Yup. The anime should take a 3 year hiatus. It shouldn't have even started without giving the manga a 3 year head start. That would've hurt the buzz and the sales of both though so I can see why they wanna keep the series on air every week.

We're 70 episodes in and so little of meaning has happened compared to where Naruto was at 70 after episodes.

    Spoiler:
Also, take both Zensuki and 123fire's posts around here with a grain of salt. Those two are pretty much the opposite ends of the Boruto hate/love spectrum and both will troll and manipulate facts to suit their crusades. They can have their opinions but if you're looking for facts about ratings and sales the truth tends to be somewhere in the middle.

    It should be seasonal.

What he was supposed to say is that it was the third best-selling volume for a brief period of time: on the 5-8th of October, right after it was released along with some other Jump volumes like Hunter x Hunter, Haikyu! and Gintama but excluding most other series that would beat Boruto in sales ranking (because not all series release their volumes at the same time obviously).

Don't let his cherrypicked statements fool you.

And me should have started 3 years after the manga started.

Manga should have been weekly from day 1.

I don't expect a hiatus to happen. Naruto is too big for a hiatus. Requiring a hiatus despite the big name would imply that either the manga writer or anime directors aren't up to the job of handling both. Considering that losing face is a big deal in Asian countries I think the company would want to protect their staff from that happening.

Putting the anime on hiatus would also mean putting the Naruto money train on hold. To keep up interest in the franchise they would only have a manga that very rarely updates itself which might make Naruto's overall position weaken. The sequel was supposed to be a long term project and putting the anime on hold goes against that.

It also isn't really required. An FMA split is also on the table and pretty inevitable if you ask me.

    That would be suicide.

  30. They aren't really up for the job, are they?

I understand but Naruto keeps on selling every year. Boruto isn't needed for this.

If the Manga continues probably not. I would prefer if they focused on improving the Manga. It wouldn't be the first anime to enter a hiatus and with the manga continuing hype would be created for it to be back.
