    in the latest chapter,
tobi says " i hav to apologize to itachi san "
.......... i am no good in japanese but i think 'san' is used to denote elders... and ofcourse if tobi is obito, he cant be younger than itachi..

    proved.... tobi is not obito

    Phail.

-San is indeed often used to adress elders, but more than anything else, is an expression of respect. Such as "Mr." in english. "Mr." is not exclusive to those older than you, neither is -san.

    You lose.

    No, you aren't correct.

San is used as a way of showing respect to someone. It isnt neceserally older person, but in most of cases it refeares to older persons, since it is used by younger to show respect. In Japan is very rare to see an older person saying San to younger one, but it isnt impossible.

Tobi probably used it because he respects Itachi, and this is the way that Sasuke finds out that he respects Itachi.

    Fail.

As previously explained, -san is a like "mr." in English, it shows respect, and is often used reffering to older people, but not always.

    "don't shoot down before reading"
Your post is like 2 sentences, but fortunetly I was able to plow through it all. I don't think semantics are simple or proof. Shot down!

That is due to his extreme respect for her though, -san is used for people you respect, not neccesairly older than you, but often.
People in Japan respect their elders, almost more so than anywhere. Except maybe China.

That is probably someone mocking him, like Naruto called Sasuke that once.

-chan is for children, mainly girls.

  14. The Boss Guest

"-san" is used for a male when the two is close enough to use it. San is usualy for girls, and Kun for boys. So if Tobi used San, it must mean his relation to Itachi is more than just a hello whenever they meet at the Akatsuki meetings.

Once I saw a movie where a chinese kid disrecpets his grandmother because she is retarded, and I was sleeeping.

any way, getting on-topic , nope that isn't even half a proof, I'm more intrigued in why does he was spooked by sasuke than if he called -san or anything stupid.

Notice how Tobi ran away because he thought Sasuke was "scary" just before Dei attacked Sasuke? Something tells me the Good Boy is much smarter than he lets on...

Kisame calls Itachi, Itachi-san and he's like 10 years older than him.

"San" only shows repect, not age. For example, Kisame refers to Itachi as "Itachi-san" and Itachi isn't even 20, when Kisame is like 30 something (I swear, it's you anti-tobi=obito people who just make stuff up to prove us wrong, not the other way, yes I'm for tobi=obito)

this is just like my "proof" of tobi being akamaru.

akamaru is a boy dog. what do you say to a boy dog? good boy. tobi is a good boy self proclaimed, therefore tobi is akamaru. :laugh

The honorific (-San) can also be use as mister/miss. Therefore, Tobi saying 'Itachi-san' is a moot point.
