Having not read the Manga yet, I was curious as to if the filler episodes were created after consulting with the person whom does the manga or not. Meaning, do the anime filler people just randomly throw things out that could later be contridicted (thus putting them in an awkward place while animating) by the manga? Things like Hinata's new jutsu, One of the seven swordsmen dying, etc.

The anime director/producers/writers/whoever else do whatever the hell they want when adapting the story from the manga. Kishimoto Masashi (the mangaka) isn't involved in creating the anime. So, if they contradict something (such as Raiga being a 7sword) that Kishimoto does later on in the manga, they have to figure out how to deal with it.

God, if ONLY Kishimoto wrote the fillers. Heck, even if they just got him drunk and took notes on his random ideas, it would probably be better.

The only non-manga-related thing that Kishimoto helped with was the Naruto movie, which is why that didn't suck.

then they wouldn't be fillers. some animes have fillers that don't suck so much (one piece and some of inuyasha) but this ones.... :mad

I like some of the fillers but that sucks if they could be contradictory to the manga later <_<

Fillers have a lot of potential to be both entertaining and to provide background "color" on the characters. But it seems with Naruto, that if it requires any level of effort or thought .. It will NOT be done!

PierRot Studios have only themselves if they screw up Naruto. Which, imho, is the path they are on.

As far as I know, he only endorsed it.

There's even a Q&A out there that interviews Kishimoto and in it, there's a question about how he liked the Naruto movie, and he basically said that he loved it...all except for the part about the Snow Nin's having technology that really doesn't fit into the Naruto world.

    =/

noticed the same thing, fillers cans uck but are nice when they give some background on others... the seven samurai one was good because it touches on the rest of the clan..
