So, the finals are here...... another far-away Canadian team vs another team where winter is almost non-existant, sound familiar? *coughTampaVSCalgarycoughCarolinaVSEdmontoncough*

So come here to discuss, and cheer/boo, and see who wins the Cup for the first time in their franchises' history (technically, for the city of Ottawa since the Original Senators won it in 1926).....

    And here we go:

    Anaheim Ducks
    (Western Conference Champion)
    vs
    Ottawa Senators
    (Eastern Conference Champion)

    Game 1: Ottawa 2 - 3 Anaheim
    Game 2: Ottawa 0 - 1 Anaheim
    Game 3: Anaheim 3 - 5 Ottawa
    Game 4: Anaheim 3 - 2 Ottawa
    Game 5: Ottawa 2 - 6 Anaheim

Anaheim wins the Stanley Cup 4-1

Score is 1-1 so far. Both of these teams are hitting each other a lot! Which makes the game even better of course! smile-big

Nah, she's Canadian, and I guess most Canadians want the Senators to bring the first Cup to Ottawa since the Original Senators did it in 1926, the NHL's first season.

I'm still bitter than the Rangers and the Devils lost but I guess I'll root for the Ducks because of that long ass drought.

    Ducks are 2 - 0 up.

History says they have it won, and with Neidermayer and Pronger you can bet they do....

:( me too that was bogus how the sabers scored on lundquist with 7.2 seconds left.ugghhh but you know there is always next year. And i think the sens are going to defiantly win game three even though i want anahiem. because they are at home and i think its time for the heatly, Alfredson, Spezza line to get going:nod

Ducks won Game 4 tonight, so they currently lead the series 3-1. One more win and they are officially Stanley Cup champs. I'm rooting for the Ducks cause I just don't want to see Ottawa win the Cup. Guess cause I'm a Leafs fan.

The Sens need to stop letting the Ducks have too many second opportunities and we gotta find a way to get through the wall, a.k.a Jean-Sebastien Giguere, who is just a fucking beast. Hopefully we can force a Game 6.

The most I see the Senators doing is forcing a Game 6, but it's all over from there. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Mighty Ducks are the champions. *Sings We are the Champions*

Well today is game 4 of the Stanley Finals and the Senators have their backs against the wall. It doesn't help that Anaheim are 7-0 in home games that would clinch a series. Hopefully the Senators overcome this and force a game 6.

Sooo... how many years in a row does that make it, where a US team beat a Canadian team? And not just any US team, teams from the SOUTH where no one even gives a crap about hockey? Canada needs to step up their game, this is humiliating.
