I just watched The Departed and I must say it's a brilliant movie.

Though I don't get what everyone are after. They surely must have enough dirt on Costello to take him down. And why don't Costello inform the FBI about Colin Sullivan?

It's a weird movie. The good guys vs. The good guys vs. Colin Sullivan

    The Departed = Death Note?

I'm tired, I think I need to sleep now....

I really liked it, personally. I love movies with two intelligent people each trying to corner eachother like that... Very, very good.

    Colin Sullivan = Yagami Light

    Billy Costigan = L

Does this assumption make any sense?

    Its a adaptation/remake.

Wow, what has American mentality done to you? :oh Everything is either a copy or stolen... sue! Lawsuit! Death! Penalties!! :yell

They got the rights to adapt the first 2 movies of Internal Affairs into one for The Departed. I've seen all the movies, and The Departed is better than Internal Affairs.

    It isn't a ripoff.

what? I've seen first Infernal Affairs and The Departed and it didn't look like anything was added from the second or third movie (I didn't seen them, though. I only mean that I've only noticed similarites to first IA and rest looked like Scorsesse's doing)

both movies were good, IA are my favourite because of the poetic visuals, and better ending. I can't deny, though, that I really enjoyed TD, acting was amazing, and the movie was filled with raw emotions.

The first statement is false, and with the second I don't agree.

the daparted is amazing, great acting and even if you've seen infernal affairs it worth a watch, and @ sakura you'd maybe like "catch me if you can" its very good as well, tho not as good as the departed
