    I'd seriously try NMM.

    I haven't reinstalled Skyrim in like 2 years now with NMM and I've got 220 or so mods.

    You said you reinstalled Skyrim, I'm assuming you reinstalled SKSE too yeah?

    Its random, but I usually don't get to play very long. For example I can get a CTD when I enter a city or when I am just walking. When the game CTD's and I try to reload the save I get another CTD, getting it to load is a miracle.

    Okay, that's interesting.

    Have you tried using "coc riverwood" in the console at the save menu to start a game instead?

    If not do so and walk around for a bit and see if you still get the crash.

    Save loading CTD is common, the game has trouble with that for some reason, I fixed it ages ago but fuck if I remember the solution I used.

    Okay, here is what made me flip my shit.

    Walk from Whiterun all the way to dark water crossing and get a CTD. Load back up at Whiterun and go back into the city and CTD. Try to load 5 times and CTD.

    So it's not likely an issue with background services.

    Jeez.

    It's unlikely to be your meshes folder given that the crash is not immediate nor reproducible in specific areas.

    It doesn't make sense for it to be a memory issue if SKSE is configured correctly and you've run a heavier setup...

    Post your mods via load order mate. Maybe I can spot a fuck up there.

    Besides some really buggy quest shit and stuff just not working with loverlab, they have never been the cause of many CTD's. Even some of the more lavish shit never made the regular skyrim world crash.

    Well then we know you're not dumb with manual installation.

    Well if you refuse to post your load order there's not much else I can do for you.

    Especially with indirect stuff like that where it just crashes all the time randomly.

    My game became relatively stable ages ago after I dumped CoT and stuff so I haven't dealt with that sort of crash issue in a while.

    My main purpose was to find out if any of the mod managers might cause instability, even if ever so slightly. Google was absolute shit at finding the answer.

    Maybe manual installation just led to better practices :hm

    Mod managers do no such thing. I run my heavily modded Skyrim with absolutely no crashes or instability whatsoever and it's been that way for years.

    Do you have a backup in your MO setup?

    I always use backups in MO. They save your life, but if you don't make them regularly when adding new mods, you can break game experience.

    I already have tempest myself.

    I may find some of those useful for my assassin when enemies manage to get close or in those situations where the game forces you to fight tons of enemies.
