Oh stupid me, I guess the bolded Shins = Great was just a generic statement about their over all greatness. I thought you were following the trend of naming album, then ranking greatness..... I sware my brain went on vacation recently.....

Their song "New Slang" was selected to be on Scrubs. That makes them awesome. I have 2 of their albums and the first one I'm listening to is nice and refreshing.

Im 2 tracks into this, and just as you would expect from the shins, it's making me clap like a 3rd grader and bounce all over the room like a rubber ball on crack.

Australia is just :love. that banjo is so freakingly good >_<

just give me your hand and let's jump out the window!

wait till you hear 'Phantom Limb', it's catchy as fuck! =]

some people on the internets have been calling this a 'safe album', but in my opinion it's just consistently brilliant.

I have! and i love it :spaz. Sea Legs is such a groovy tune <3. The album jus gets better with every tune. And it's far more engrossing and uses far more instrumentation than their previous albums. this is as you accuratly stated; consistently brilliant

2 days ago I read a review where this bloke totally pisses on the shins and dislikes them for not making "serious" music and resorting to catchy melodic tunes to male up for their lack of talent.

I tell ya, some people just got an oak tree shoved up their bum.

I haven't heard the Shins, but the fact that they were even mentioned in the "film" Garden State instantly makes me weary.

I have Chutes Too Narrow on CD.
and the rest of the tracks on iTunes.
I've been a fan for a few years and I have to say.
    I absolutly love The Shins.
    Especially the acoustic songs.
    They're incredibly good.
My favorite tracks are "Know Your Onion" and "Fighting In A Sack"

First Beach Boys kind of suck.
    Second The Shins don't suck.
    End of story.
    Chutes Too Narrow.
    Oh, Inverted World.
