Do you really believe that a troll is so important in my life? I havent reviewed your comments, I was just reading these threads, I'm not here just for Naruto, if I've made you dislike it's because you dont understand about music, not because I know you before.

It fluctuates every now and then, but I think the genres I've consistently been enjoying are a tie-up between post-punk and bebop. Bebop is an expressive, cathartic form of music, and as such is very compatible with punk. I have a preference for the noisy end of punk (noise rock, etc.) and bebop (especially post-bop and third stream type stuff). I get the same thing out of both of these forms. Emotional power, expression, catharsis.

I wish punk jazz was a bigger thing, but I also wish the punk jazz that does exist was a bit different. I think the problem with the genre is that it takes some cues from broader jazz-rock and fusion stuff, and the problem with that stuff is it gets bogged down in noodly, technical, self-indulgent bullshit. If we could just throw out all the self-indulgent, meaningless maneuvering and only keep the emotionally potent stuff, it'd do the whole thing a lot of good.
