I am attempting to include images in my posts, but I am receiving a message saying that "only images from HTTPS" sources are allowed, when I never received that message, before, and, when I attempt to upload an image from my computer, I receive a message that says "you do not have permission to perform this action,": so what can I do to include images in my posts?

You need to post the image from a https source, its been this way for awhile. Try uploading your image through imgur, its automatically https.

    Http images aren't allowed.

You can change it to Https manually.

Or you can just upload it to imgur since they automatically make it https

That makes sense, but it does not explain why I could not upload an image from my computer.

I think he means when you're posting at the bottom it says, "Post Reply/Upload a File/Draw Sketch/More Options..."

if you upload a file -> an image -> you can't actually post it. it says "you do not have permission to perform this action."

@DemonDragonJ I have experienced the same issue that you have when it comes to uploading images, and there is a way to get around it.

From your computer, upload the image onto an image hosting website such as imgur.

After the above step has been completed, and the image has been fully uploaded, you can just take the link to the hosted image (via copy link to the image), post the link to the image to the image uploader, and then add the “s” at the end of the “http” part of the link when uploading.

Doing this method has allowed me to post images here on this site effectively so far.

As others have said, imgur is your best friend when trying to post images on the forum. Other sites do work too- but in terms of hassle-free uploading/hotlinking you don't need to look further than imgur really.

It's been like this for a while, any http link (image or otherwise) will result in error. You can simply add on an s, making it https, but that only works with sites that have innate support for https; otherwise you'll get a broken img/link.

Since the question has been answered locking. :tbh
