Truely Smokey Jazz

    Ok, you know the stereotype, sitting in a cafe, everyone dressed in black lighting up a cig, drinking coffee, fixing your beret, etc. What in your opinion, truely evokes the smokey jazz cafe image? For me at the moment, it would have to be Joni Mitchell's Good Bye Pork Pie Hat.

    Personally the whole "java jazz" scence kinda ruins it for me. For me, real Jazz is something you hear on the street corner, or in a park. Those are the poeple with things to say IMO

    Or was that because the video for that song was a Jazz club setting? Either way, it was perfect.
