    I'd like the translation to the coloring techniques at the end of Umazaki, the art book of Naruto. It is for a class project about Masashi Kishimoto, and, since my knowledge of Japanese kanji and written language is pretty minimal, I would like to turn to the translators here. :) I need this asap, and greatly appreciate any help that I may receive. Thank you.

    For the sake of simplicity for the translators... maybe it's best that you upload a picture of what you want translated.

    As already said, posting the exact text you want translated would be a good idea, but...
    ... and this is somewhat nitpickish, but it's also one of my pet-peeves, so bare with me. There is rarely ever any such thing as "the" translation to anything. Translation is typically an art involving a significant amount of interpretation and judgment calls on the part of the translator, so there will invariably be differences among translators, no matter how skilled they are.

    I have the book in question, but I don't have an available scanner to scan in the pages that she(?) is looking for. I could take a few pictures, but I don't exactly have the time right now. Maybe tomorrow if more time is needed.

    Okay, Sorry for the delay. It's just costing me time so it's my own fault. :(

    Here are the three pages. There isn't really that much kanji on them so A translation would be appreciated. :nod

    Has anyone started on this yet? :) Please? :O If not, that's fine. I'd like it for my personal references anyway; however, it'd be great to have it for my project. :)

    some writings i cant read...

    and some words i have no clue how to translate

    so bear with me
    ```````````````````````````
    (the big title at the top with arrows)
    the flow of an illustration from start to finish
    imagination/rough sketch -> clean up sketch? (use mechanical pencil B or HB) -> pen outline -> pencil coloring?(perhaps shading) (2B~3B pencils) -> coloring (copics)
    yep
    Thanks much for that much. If you (or anyone else) can get some more I'd really appreciate it! ^_^
    I hope I'm not being too bothersome by bumping this, n'stuff. I just really need it for school. I'm thinking about dropping that paragraph if I can't get this in time.
    Don't get angry, I wasn't me the one spelling that wrong, anyway Uzumaki is the name of the artbook no direct reference to you..
    What people here wanna see translated is the piece of the artbook where Kishimoto explains how he did the cover of the artbook.
    The pages are right there I you want to see what we are talking about.
    oooh, this would be nice to have translated. It'd be cool to know how he actually goes about making his completed pieces....
    though i fear that so many "aspiring" mangakas around here will attempt to copy and imitate the great one :p
    Yeah will be pretty cool to have it. That part I copied it from my artbook, I am still working on the rest of the pages to get them in digital, then I will try to translate it, but it will take me several months.
    And don't worry kahlmoo, it takes more than 3 pages and some pictures of Kishi to be able to reach his awesomeness...
    god I hate it when the page resized the picture and makes it too small to read.
    You know for a small fee you can have it translated commercially, all you have to do is upload the document of the kanji you want translated.
    First services
    Also dattebayo now do a service who will translate anything you want for a fee. It seems that they only do subbing, but if you ask politely they may decide to translate a still document for you especially it it's naruto related.
    here's their link
    Firstly, Thanks to all who responded, even though I didn't get this in time.
    Secondly, Gee sorry I misspelled Naruto's last name. :/ I was still new and how was I supposed to know? Especially with no reference just in front of me.
    Anyway, The report was a success anyway. It'd still be pretty cool if it could be translated but I guess there aren't any translators on this board. This is fine. Thanks for the tips on getting it translated for a fee, but I cannot pay for such a service. I don't have the time or money for that. :(
    Anyway, this thread could probably be locked now as I don't need the info and it's been almost 6 months since it's creation. If anyone was gonna do this for me it'd be done by now, I think.
