If there were a Videogame Hall of Fame, what games do you think should be indicted?I think the Mario Party series should go in.So should Mario games in general.I mean,he's a legend. He made sega create sonic to compete with Mario's popularity.

*thanks.I know the title is catchy*:amuse

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night.

The duo CV games that hold the pinnicle for what they offer, side scrolling linear pwnage and side scrolling non linear pwnage.

Well Zelda of course, and Metal Gear Solid. Also i'd put Devil may Cry but that can be opinionated. Also you gotta put Final Fantasy from NES to now, except the spin-off's.

I'll agree on the DMC thing. But I think only 1 and 3...and maybe even 4 could make it. DEFINITELY not 2 though. Also, who could forget our good ol' pal Megaman?

I forgot about this, but I think most of the DQ series should be in it..except for 7. Personally, I also prefer FF IX over VII anyday.

    Mario
    Megaman
    Zelda
    Final Fantasy
    Draqon Quest
    Tetris
    Doom

This is my short list of legendary, hall-of-fame worthy games. Most of them are series in general, but Doom and Tetris refer to the first installments. There are of course, many more. However, these are the big names, that will forever be remembered for different things.

Zone of the Enders (if you love mechs, anime, fast paced action, or just a great story, check this hidden gem out)

Dynasty Warriors (yes, go ahead and flame me for this but I think the series is superb, the entire series including expansions and spin offs took 500+ hours out of my life in all (and I'm not kidding))

    Final Fantasy (duh)

    "Tales of...." series

    legend of zelda
    mario
    final fantasy
    metal gear solid
    pokemon
    super smash bros

all the games from these series are definitely the best and hall of fame
    worthy imo :amuse
(the actual games, not the spinoffs like four swords or dirge of cerberus)

Pokemon(Red/Blue) and Tribes would be my picks. Both were very unique and original games for their respective genres(Japanese RPG and Multiplayer FPS).

What about Tactics? It's not necessairly a FF game considering that most of the people involved were from the ogre series, and while there's never been a straight format for the FF games, this one was obviously of a different gaming type than most FF games at the time being of the distinguished SRPG format than the RPG one. I'd ask about FF legends, but since that's not really considered an FF spinoff game in japan and more related to the saga series I'm guessing, then I'll leave that out, though those games kicked ass.

But all similarities to the "favorite game" thread, I'll say that Chrono Trigger definitely deserves to be in the hall of fame. A love child of Square and enix before Squenix came to be? Hell yeah. And if SF3 wasn't in it, then that place should have meteor's rain on it.

    Mario
    Zelda
    Megaman
    Final Fantasy
    Metal Gear Solid
    Castlevania
    Sonic
    Pokemon
    Halo
    Splinter Cell
    Grand Theft Auto

They're not all necessarily my kind of games. Theres over 30 megaman games out there, which counts for something I guess. Pokemon and sonic are the only ones I never got into.
