This has been on the news and was also addressed on The O'Reily Factor as well as Hannity and Combes. Speakers from the Minuteman Project were invited to speak by the College Republicans, and were met with protest, which turned violent after students walked up on the stage during the speech.

What do you guys think of this? I think that it's reflects poorly on the university and American higher education as a whole. I also feel that chanting in Spanish at this event was nothing short of race-bating, as race wasn't the issue, illegal immigration was. I was in my dorm when all this was going down, and could only get pictures of the protest after the juicy stuff :cry .

Ironic how these College Liberials wine about free speech every other day then violently assault and mess with people they disagree with.

The people who did this no longer have any right to bitch about anti-flag burning legislation.

All of the students that either rushed the stage, protested without a permit, or attacked the guest speaker should be expelled. This was a demonstration of how ignorant and corrupt these dang liberals are making our educational systems. Believe it!

Physically attacking a speaker doesn't make you a hero. It makes you a douchebag, and associates your cause with douchebags.

    Agreed.

I hate to say this, but I find that most people in socialist parties and radical leftists are rather clever at fighting their own cause for support by reacting to authority as vandals. It is nothing but anarchism, and Leo Tolstoy's teachings on pacifist anarchism obviously never reached their minds. A pity, because now the people they were speaking for will suffer the repercussions of being heeded in their time of need.

It is the consequence of uninformed masses and freedom of speech. The two cannot exist in harmony.
