Mine is mainly Metal... Like Deathcore metal. The real heavy stuff. Favourite metal band would have to be In This Moment for me. Other then Metal I enjoy Alternative Rock/Metal, Alternative Indie, Dubstep, Electronic/Dance and Pop.

Don't think there a genre that I like per se, it really depends on the song but I can tell you that I usually tend no to like rap, R&B, you know that type of music.

if you dont consider it music then why even bring it up as an exception in regards to your affinity for different music genres? seems rather redundant.

if youre going to say something so scandalous at least write what you mean and dont completely undermine your own thoughts in the process of doing so.

im a bit curious now though, what, in your opinion, constitutes music?

I can see the point with the whole Rap thing. I am quite picky with my Rap music. With Rap music, i'm into that real type of Rap music. The deep shit. Like NF, Witt Lowry, Enkay47, etc. As it's rap that's not about dope and meaning less crap that in the end the song just doesn't make sense.. it's tasteless and has no connection/emotion or any real particular meaning. The rap music and artists i'm into is rap music that has an emotion, that I can connect/relate to. Even The Weeknd's newest stuff I enjoy like for example his song "Call Out My Name." That was deep and had a meaning and it was hard to hear the pain and all especially if you get what the song is about and who and why. Anywho that's my opinion and two cents I guess haha.

Not liking rap is a fair case, not liking rap because you don't consider "talking real fast music" is absolute stupidity and a real fucking granny thing to say. And it is, of course, wrong. Just like saying that you don't like crust punk/black metal/death metal/whatever because you don't consider shouting/screaming/growling music and so on. You can't judge if something is music or not by definitions like that. Rap is as much music as pop, rock, jazz, noise, metal, punk and whatever genre you want to include. Music can have a huge variety of vocal forms from no vocals at all to singing, shouting, screaming, growling, talking, rapping, samples moaning from porno films or fucking animals making sounds. The vocal type, or lack thereof, does not decide if one thing is music or not. That's just how it is.

Hatebeak got a parrot for a vocalist and Caninus got two pitbulls on vocals. And guess what, theyre as much music as rap and whatever the fuck Mali likes. Fact.

I love rap music but it's quality has slipped so I lean more towards pop honestly, I just go with whatever flows and sounds good.

to answer the thread instead of just shitposting, i guess its a split between that infamous concoction of post-industrial and ambient from 2011 and onwards that was so ardently shilled on tumblr (think posh isolation with the rest of the copenhagen noise scene orbiting it), alongside hypnagogic pop. basically anything that takes the wall of sound approach to trance inducing heights.
