Just thought I'd do a random Halloween themed thread. This is a tough question, as even though I like plenty of vampire films, I've never been partial to the concept as a whole. But I'd say either

-- Horror of Dracula: I love Hammer Horror and this is one of the better ones. Special mention goes to "Dracula Has Risen from the Grave", my favorite of those sequels.

-- Martin: This is for when I'm in a more arthouse kind of mood. This is from Romero and deserves more love than it gets.

Coppola's Dracula movie goes for the usual "Dracula just wants LOVE, he's totally cool beneath all those rapey vibes" but it's probably the best Dracula movie in terms of production values. Great casting, awesome acting, fucking amazing effects and costume designs.

Let the Right One In is probably one of the best modern vampire stories out there, both the novel and the original movie. The movie in specific does a great job at showcasing the vampire's abilities and super strenght through implicit shots instead of directly showing it which would probably look awkward in a low budget movie. Also the vampire girlfriend (Male) really works for me as a vampire because self preservation, manipulation and abuse is what Vampires are all about.

Then your usual suspects: From Dusk Till Dawn, Interview with a Vampire, Nosferatu (which is incredibly watchable these days for a mutie movie), 30 Days of Night, Horror of Dracula and since I saw it recently, What We do In the Shadows. The first Blade was really cool but falls apart at the end.

Hellsing is the best Dracula sequel and Christopher Lee is the best Dracula actor, fight me.

Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens, Horror of Dracula and Black Sunday. Can't think of a single other vampire movie that really comes close to these, despite the fact that there's a ton of amazing ones that I truly love. But these two are just beyond magnificent. And if I have to choose just one I'll go with Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens. Watching that movie as a 12 year old was a massive experience and it's remained one of my all-time favourite movies since then. Best experience was seeing it at a cinema with an alternative score played live by a band. That was truly something else.

Subspecies I & II are the most underrated ones.

"What We Do in the Shadows" and "From Dusk Till Dawn" are also contenders.

    Interview with a Vampire
    Bram Stoker's Dracula
    Lost Boys
    From Dusk till Dawn

I'd say Interview with a Vampire is probably my favourite vampire film personally.
