I've been trying to find some concrete answers to these questions. Obviously, you can say, "This song sucks because I said so." But of course, that's just inane.

What do you feel makes a song good or bad?

I can't hardly put my finger on it.

A song may seem good or bad depending on what mood I'm in. It's because it's relevant to what feeling the song can give to me. If it does give a feeling, wheter that feeling may be, it's a good song.

A song that appeals to the individual.
    Something that has
    In general
-Catchiness (something you can catch on to and keep singing it all day
-has to stay in your mind
-you have to like it :amazed
    -Good vocals
    For rap
    -Has to have good rhythim
-The punchlines have to be concrete, and creative
    -creativity
-originality (well some songs can sing about the same thing but the way they rap it has to be original)
    Rock
-Don't know about rock, or anything else.

I think bad songs are defined through slowness, lack of energy behind both the vocals and bass as well as weak lyrics that are very whiney or whatever. I like fast-paced, energetic music that is usually not the most creative lyrics but lyrics that are kind of random, songs that are slow, serious I find have too much effort put into them and as a result the end product well. . .sucks. =/

    You.

There really is no other deciding factor in it. It's really all a matter of opinion.

Sometimes opinions merge, and everyone thinks it's bad, but not that often.:amuse

Well for me I got with the guitar first. If he plays good then *thumbs up* if he's terrible then I'll either just throw out the CD or delete the song. :D

Then comes the vocal, beats, energy of the song, bass playing and most likely the catchi-ness of it.

see, my brother used to have the same viewpoint as "it's a matter of opinion" but since doing his A level in Music Theory, Practice and Composing, he's become an elitist fucktard and throws music terms at me :(
