At this point in the story, nothing. There’s NOTHING that makes it special or better than other shonen series.

Prior to the disastrous chapters, I'd say the charmpoint of the series were the characters, creative art, and fairly good foreshadows.
Now? I don't see any charm remaining after the series has taken a detour into the asspull territory.

The romantic pairings of this shonen is mind blowing. A normal adult guy Ban is in love with a kid looking fairy Elaine even worse a geriatric Escanor in love with a kid true form Merlin. Furthermore a young innocent beautiful woman Elizabeth in love with a demon boy looking Meliodas and fights for him no matter what same goes to his brother Zel a boy who has romantic relationship with a fine gorgeous vampire woman Gelda. A doll whos suppose to resemble the wife/girlfriend of his creator, Gowther, was in love with a young sick girl Nadja. But the story itself makes this shonen different from the other is the complexity and ridic twists evry now and then.

The husbandos, I only read it for Escanor and Mael.

And like the guy above me, I read it for Escanor, even if Nakaba has been shitting on his character a bit.

Focus on characters other than the MC. It's kinda crazy how many chapters can go by without the MC (Meliodas) having any involvement. The title "Seven Deadly Sins" is not a lie. An entire training arc mixed with a war flashback was done with Diane and King possessing the bodies past versions of Dolor and Gloxinia. Normally you'd only see that kind of thing ONLY done with the MC. Other characters training usually gets offscreened or barely shown.

Naruto and One Piece having a chapter without Luffy or Naruto is EXTREMELY rare by comparison.

It's better because Nakaba dials all the powered up badassery tropes up to 11.

And usually does so at a fairly crisp pace making fights generally not very drawn-out and boring. They usually come into existence and end with a bang, barring very few exceptions.
