I can only think of books and manga that have had time skips unless they were memories of the past, but that doesn't count. Or time skips from someone's birth/childhood that only last for an episode or a half of episode.

It seems like a difficult thing for animators to do. They have to get used to the new feel of characters and adjust. What about the voice actors? Will they stay the same? If so, that could be a plot hole considering people's voices change due to puberty.

The only thing of that nature I know of is Breath of Fire (3 I think?). Middle of the game you as a kid turn into a dragon (your part of a dragon race or something) and live in a cave. Then like 8 years later someone comes and finds you. At that point your quite older and the game continues far more badass.

You could kinda count Hikaru no Go, but there is no time skip. The anime just goes over a long period of time and you see him go from a kid to teenager.

Well the Dragonball manga series had several, usually 3 year gaps too, from when Goku was 12-15, then 15-18, then 18-24 which was the start of Dragonball Z, when he had settled down. Then a year time jump between Raditz death and Vegeta's arrival. 6 Months leap between leaving for Namek and arriving. 1 year from end of Namek to Trunks. 3 years from end of Trunks to start of Android Saga. 6 years jump from end of Cell saga to Saiyaman Arc. Then 10 years jump from end of Buu arc to world Tourny with Pan and Uub, and then (although this doesn't really count) 10 years again from then to the start of DBGT. And then within the DBGT anime there was one jump from the end of Bebi arc to the start of Super Android 17.

So Dragonball manga (Which included DBZ as its all under the same name) had 9 Time Jumps.

    Dragonball Anime: 3 Time Jumps
Dragonball Z Anime: 6 Time Jumps
Dragonball GT Anime: 2 Time Jumps (If you include gap between shows)

Wow... I havent seen DBZ in ages and I still remember all that :oh

Blood+ had a 1 year time jump also between eps 32 and 33.

Can't think of any others right now.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time had a continuous time jump where you could jump between. One of the main reasons that game kicked ass.

But then again, that wasnt a show...it was enjoyable like a show, though :amazed

Hikaru no Go didn't have any timeskips, but the characters grew up noticably.

Edit: I fail at reading the thread. Someone already mentioned it. Um... Uninhabited Planet Survive showed the characters as adults in the last episode, although that doesn't really count.

    Major has a few timeskips.

    Twin Spica has one.

Capeta has a really cool time jump - in the end of one episode you see the "four years later" (if i'm not wrong) and some shots of the main chars older, and then on the next episode it starts. I wish naruto to make something like that.
I think Major has a time jump too.

There was a time-skip between Zoids Chaotic Century and Guardian Force, Digimon 01 and 02, YGO/YGOGX, just to name a few.

FMA kind of had a time skip. It actually did the time skip part (Ed's past) a lot more effectively then the manga. In the manga, the Nina thing happened differently and was less emotional. That was one of the best early FMA moments. I wasn't a huge fan of the siren thing though.

Berserk had a semi time skip, only it wasn't really a time skip since it went back and continued on again.

However yeah, DB had quite a few. Also One Piece started when luffy was a little kid.

Kingdom Hearts had a 1 year time jump. Although I think it should've been 2, what with how much everyone grew (Riku grew like what, a fuckin foot?).

A bunch. As mentioned: Hikaru no Go, DBZ, and there was this kendo anime I saw once with a time jump as well, though I don't remember the name. Maccross has some sorts of jumps too, I guess?
