I'm just wondering
Shika would be better as L
with an IQ of 200 he would have outsmarted both...but since he has no motivation he probably would have never even picked up the notebook in the first place, much less bother to remake the world as he saw fit.
What is "Death note" & "Raito"?
Raito = Light in Engrish
the Death note = Death God's note book.
I dunno, Raito and L might have IQs of 200 or so too - the smartest people in our world have IQs around that, and it's probably reasonable to say that Raito and L are the most intelligent people in the world in Death Note.
But if Shikamaru got the Death Note, I think he'd probably work out that it was real somehow, but decide it was too much of a hassle and throw it away. Or set it on fire, I don't think he's too lazy to do that if he understands the risk of someone else finding it.
He might be a bit more motivated as L though, yeah.
If he did, there would be hell of a lot more clouds...
Death Note is another manga series where, to put it simply, a highschooler named light yagami picks up a death god's note book or "death note" and discovers that whoever's name he puts in it will die...so he decides to go on a conquest of killing all criminals with it in order to make a better world.
which is getting an anime on October 3rd...
You guys really think that Shika is smarter than both Raito & L? I'm only up to Vol. 6 in DN, so maybe I'm ill-informed, but I haven't seen anything from Shika that overshadows them.
It's like intellect battledome.
I stopped reading Death Note after that one guy died.
Yeah, Shika would be a much better L than Raito. One of Raito's most important qualities was his ambition, which Shikamaru sorely lacks. ^^; Hell, if he let his hair down, opened his eyes really wide, and sat oddly Shikmaru might even look a bit like L. XD
But to answer you question... not much of anything, I imagine. Maybe, MAYBE he would keep it for emergencies (his trump card, so to speak), but I doubt it.
*sigh* I miss Death Note. >.>
raito would pwn shikamaru.
even that lame L would 2.
id say they are probably about equal. u cant really get much better than light and L because they figured everything out, they always knew what was going on. Even L figured everything out, if he wanted to he could have just killed light and saved the world. Shikamaru, I think would have been able to figure out everything in death note, too.
It's Light. Light fuckers.
Shikamaru: *writes* Akatsuki.
Misa-Misa would've outsmarted Shikamaru. After all, she's a girl.
first of all shika would kill L, raito, near, and that other bitch with way to long hair for a guy
then he would pwn the world and the shinigami world
and he sure as hell wouldnt die in the end
Yeah, that part totally sucked
4 real? fuck...its about time.
preview clip: THIS
Shikamaru has a conscience, so he'd probably burn the damn thing.
Not before possibly killing Oro and most of Akatsuki first, if he's not too lazy.
Ya, all downhill after that point. I eventually stopped reading too...
Shika in Deathnote? Not only is he smart, but he's also incredibly lethal and is well crafted in shinobi arts like ninjutsu. He'll definitely pawn in Deathnote... hell, he doesn't even need the notebook to kill ppl without being noticed. Don't know about his motives though... nor his ability to adapt to modern Japan, since it's so different from Naruto and all.
Only if Shika gets a strength boost and bash it out with Deidara for a neat strategic fight. There aren't too many fighters like Shika in Naruto and it's a shame.
So read JoJo! =P
Shikamaru in the world of Death Note wouldn't be doing squat. He'd be too busy trying to figure out how the hell he ended up in a different world and how to get back to bother a with a notebook lying on the ground.
If Shikamaru found the Death Note in his own world, he'd quickly figure out it was real, then:
Shikamaru - Hey, Asuma-sensei?
Asuma - Hmmm?
Shikamaru - It's troublesome, but could you lend me your copy of the Bingo Book for about two hours?
Asuma - Uhhh, sure. May I ask what for?
Shikamaru - You could, but explaining the whole thing would be an unnecessary hassel.
Asuma - *just hands his Bingo Book over and wisely figures it's not worth arguing with a genius* Here you go...
Shikamaru - *walks off* Well, might as well start with missing-nins from Konoha, then I can read the rest of this and calculate which S-class missing-nins have the highest probability of being in Akatsuki... *sigh* All this trouble, Naruto better somehow appreciate it even if he'll never know; sometimes I wonder what happened to my plan to be an average shinobi with an average family...
If Shikamaru had the death note in the Narutoverse, then he would use it to make sure that all of Konoha's major threats are eradicated.
If Shikamaru had the death note in a universe like that of DN's, then he would make sure it was destroyed because it would be too troublesome of a liability to have and use, and too dangerous to leave lying around. He would not use it to "change the world" or for any vision of a better world.
If Shikamaru was a detective and was against Light Yagami who had the death note, then he'd end up the same as L.
he would have died way faster.
I dont see shikamaru with the cunning of L
Things Would spiral downward from there and nothing special would happen at all.......
Not my kind of story at all.
I agree that if he was the age he is right now, then he'd lose against Light much faster. But if he was the same age as both Light and L, then he'd *possibly* rival L.
Since intelligence and IQ do improve with age. Shikamaru as he is now stands no chance against either of them in any strategy game, much less someone as motivated and ruthless as Light. Shikamaru would not only have to be much older, but much more experienced and motivated if he were to compete.
The only reason you guys think that Shikamaru wouldn't stand a chance is because Kishi doesn't actually know what it means to HAVE an IQ that high and can't write him properly...
If he were a resident of Deathnote he'd be as smart as the best of them...of course Yagami would eventually take him out, but he'd still be just as smart.
but if Shika DID possess the deathnote i don't think he would have made the same mistake that allowed L to deduce that Light was in Kanto...Light made that mistake because of arrogance, Shika would think such a thing would be troublesome.
Raito might beat Shika. Death note is really good but its a loooong read.
it should be sipped like fine wine rather than chugged down like a barrel of ale.
