It looks like he is sitting in Konoha somewhere.

    Or at least a town.

    Definitely not in Konoha.

Somewhere @ the landside where the akatsuki base - or hidden village - is. Could be in any of those countries ... fire, water, etc.

It looks like a fairly large town/city. Remember, there are lots of cities that aren't hidden ninja villages. It would actually be harder for them to operate in a ninja village if the organization is comprised of S-rank criminals (with the exception of Tobi who seems to be an S-ranked criminal in training only). Since AL is sitting out in the open he obviously isn't concerned about interference from ANBU types so I'm thinking it's a good sized commercial or resort city in some country with a low military presence, or even one without its own hidden village.

Anxious to know where though, it looks pretty urban.

    ^ Yea that sounds good.
It's not likely going to be Konoha, but just out of curiosity, how did you come to this conclusion?

The only way that would happen is if Naruto ends up being the last byjuu and Akatsuki come in force to take him from the village.

I don't know where he is, but i'm willing to be he doesn't leave that place often. I mean he can just send his projection whenever he needs to perform the ritual. He could be anywhere.

Most likely the Akatsuki headquarters. That statue he's sitting on has the same eyes as him, so he must be at his "home" or something.

Looks very hitech, it seems like a very cool setting; reminds me a little of The Matrix, with all the wires coming off of the statue. Wherever it is, I hope to see more action in this town.

The statue also has some hair on it's chin resembling big AL even more. The statue also seems to be an artists or a writer(I guess) since he has a brush in his hand. I think that statue is summoned by the AL and can probably move.

I am wondering what that place is, too. It looks like an abandoned city.

This assemblance to AL is probably the best clue as to what this statue is. Not to mention they have the same eyes, too.

This statue is probly build in remenbrance of AL's own ancestor. See how this statue is actually leaning forward and looks like it's about to rush into a fight with full force. Many statue-makers try to capture the vivid image of the statue when they build it to further show its power. So they build the statue according to a snapshot in motion in honor of the warrior.
If that's a brush, I am gonna scream "Sai is AL's son/brother." But it looks like a pipe to me.
It's more like a factory to me... maybe his eyes can glow or smokes come out of the pipe. It looks like a building than a dormant creature. The lattern hanging on the tongue and the water tunnel on his hat make me think it might not be no more than a building or a machine. But it's possible that you can inject spiritual power into it. :O

What's with all the freaking pipes? -_-

Very industrial looking.....or maybe AL modified the whole city himself......

Yeah, where the hell is that place? Looks awesome in my opinion. Props to Kishi for the art design in on that panel-page.

Maybe it was AL's city, but like Itachi, he killed everyone that lived in it and uses it for his own.

I also thought of Konoha at first because of the architect, but later realized it wasn't and would be stupid if he was able to summon in Konoha.

And who knows if the tongue is a handle to activate... something. o__O

Yeah, it looks like it's once a city. But AL reformats the buildings into parts of his big industry.

    Mainly cos it'd suck. IMO.

Firstly, it'd make the plot too konoha-centric, and then it'd also prove that their scouting sucks (not being aware of stuff that happens right before their eyes). And that the architechture (kindof demi-religious stuff) doesnt look like Konohan to me, but more like some temple. (and since we already saw the one of fire country, it cannot be it cos it's not like anything we've seen so far)
