Yes, I know. Quite an extensive poll. Anyway, due to a problem with my graphics driver, I can't use the internet on windows. (don't ask, I don't know) So I decided to partition my hard drive and made the switch to SuSe 9.1, but I still need to hold on to windows for games.

Linux is a fad, get over it. If I had my choice then I'd be under a 98SE but I'm 2000 Adv Server.

Continue to say that and you get PWNED! And whoever else voted for SuSe, congratulations on ending your slavery to Microsoft.

I'm running a modified Win 98 kernel. Can't stant M$'s nosiness, so refuse to run XP... If you only knew and understood how much they spy on you...
I'd use Linux, but does it run Everquest?

I have Windows XP running on the main computer, while we have Windows 98 on our old laptop.

Although I know we're replacing our main computer soon...I'm trying to persuade my mom into getting a Mac.

Actually you can play Window Games on Linux. The makers of WINE made a program that allows you play games on linux for an extremely cheap price (~$34). I haven't tried it so I don't know if it works or not but the reviews say that it can play 99% of Windows games and they will add support for the newer games so I would run Linux on all of my systems but I just not used to using it for everything. That and getting WINE to work is a bitch or so I heard.

I use windows xp but some times I use knoppix in case I'm having problems with windows or if I'm hit with a virus, I can recover my files with it.

OS X, I prefer my computer to work how I want it to. I'll left windows 5 years ago, and I've been quite happy.
