He's easily the most loyal of the criminal organization I just want to know some opinions on this matter.

Because he was living in the world of lies before(being forced to kill comrades and girl who liked him. He found out that his supervisor sold intel about the village to enemies. Also, he knew that Yagura tends to eliminate people who aren't needed anymore). Obito(as Madara) told him that he wouldn't have to live in that world anymore. It was like his goal in life(living in the world of truth).

Kisame was similar to a gangbanger I guess, it's just code that once you get into a gang you stay loyal til death or you weren't real

Gin Ichimaru's answer makes more sense tho lol

He was loyal to Obito first and foremost. Obito gave him an escape from what he saw as a "world of lies" and Kisame would do anything to go there. The conrade killer became the most loyal member. :blobcry

I don't understand it either, especially as he was so enthusiastic in killing his former teammates.

He felt like he belonged. People in akatsuki were just as fucked up as he was and he didn't feel alone.

and he figured if he followed Madara, the world will be more transparent. Men like him wouldnt be hated for doing what's right.

He had honor and believed on the ideals. But what doesnt make sense it's him pledging to a cause started by the man who brought misery and death to the ninjas of his village. Typically, Tobidara ruined a lot of sense of this manga, hence why post Pein manga sucks and belongs in the trash.

I also assume it was because Kisame was sick of the ninja system.

He was scared Obito will give him the Jabroni treatment if he betrayed them.

Kisame knew that his teammates were screwed no matter what and would all soon be caught an interrogated. That would severely harm the village. In the Narutoverse, that's what shinobi are often expected to do. Otherwise they end up like Sakumo.

It's implied that those were his orders from the start, and that at least one of his comrades knew it. That's why he told the pretty kunoichi not to befriend Kisame, because it would be tougher on kisame to kill her later.

Kisame's defection wasn't because he had to kill comrades. He would kill anyone, including himself for the right reason. But he was tricked into teamkilling by a traitor to his village.
