Which earthly characters really have no excuse to lose a battle?

By earthly based, I mean characters that are usually on earth and don't require multi-comic book team ups to beat. Such characters include:
    Thanos
    Darkseid
    The Beyonder
    You get the drift?

I think Sentry, Iceman, Incredible Hulk and the Flash have no real excuse to ever lose a fight.

Sentry has incalculable power, uncharted psionic powers and when he goes crazy, his alter-ego the void is immune to everything but the Sentry himself...

The Incredible Hulk can actually adapt to any given situation. This was stated at the beginning on the Planet Hulk Arc. His spaceship blew up and a S.H.E.I.L.D underling was worried he would die of suffocation to which Fury said his body would adapt to allow him to not need to breathe anymore...:nuts

Let's face it, Flash is a god that simply doesn't want to stand out. Superman can't hold a candle to him if it came down to it.

Iceman can't actually be killed. He was recently dispersed into steam without warning and he came back. All other characters need blood or fluids to move and he can get down to temperatures approaching apbsolute zero. Frozen blood is a bitch to deal with.

Are these guys not the ones you would pick?
Are there people who can easily dispatch of them due to being even more amazing? Discuss here and enlighten us.

Martian Manhunter - This guy has been stated several times to be the most powerful being on Earth and yet he still jobs to everyone and their grandmother. Come on, with Phasing, Invisability, high level psionics, faster then thought speed, and shape shifting he should pretty much never loose a fight.

Well, I wanted to be DC specific.

If I listed Marvel, I had to have more than just one character.

Martian Manhunter look on SBP too at one point, phasing out to avoid his attacks.
I honestly don't know how he can lose without PIS.

I read that, it was cool.

SBP punched him in the face a few pages later though, but he didn't seem to be seriously hurt.

He should have TP'd attack him.

I really wanted Anti-Monitor SBP to be taken down by 2 sun-dipped Supermen.

I wanted him to be taken down by Darkseid with an Omega blast.

Though, Geoff Johns and DC that Darkseid wouldn't be involved in this Crisis.

He should have been. Without his help, Anti-Monitor would have never been defeated.

You must have missed the part where he couldn't breathe after he came back and needed Mystique to give him mouth-to-mouth afterwards.

Current Iceman doesn't seem to be indestructable.

Thanos, Franklin Richards, X-Man, Flash, Sentry, Hulk, Silver Surfer, Galactus, Ion, Parallex, Onslaught,SBP, Blackbolt are all characters who would never lose one on one.

Thanos is a bitch, Franklin and X-Man can warp Time and Dimension, Sentry can do similar things, Hulk is basically imortal cuz he regenerates way too fast, Silver Surfer given his actual powers can pretty much blast and dismifugre on a molecular level anyone, he has been shown to take on whole armies, Galactus is an immortal, Ion, Parallex another two can pretty much warp time and dimentions, Flash can also warp time, Onslaught is so strong that it looka shit load of mutants to take him out, SBP is well i don't need to add much on him, Blackbolt is a screamer. There are many more but those are what i can remember for now.

    Martian Manhunter and Alan Scott

Alan Scott GL was stated in the JSA series as "the most powerful being in the galaxy" or some other title, because of Starheart (although he is somewhat depowered now), but due to his stupid weakness of wood, he always gets taken down easily... :(

(Wood as a weakness... hehehe :p)

I stated that Darkseid isn't included in this. Darkseid and guys like Darkseid don't usually show up on Earth now do they?

And Superman can lose to alot of people in the DC Universe.
All the people in bold violate the rules of this thread.

Whenever the people highlighted are featured in a major way, people die alot. These people also don't just go around Earth on a regular basis using their powers. They're not on a team that is usually out for good.
They can't be in this thread.
