What’s the worst injury you’ve ever had?

I’ve had a few concussions but I took a pretty bad spill on my bicycle a couple weeks ago and skinned/bruised half my body. I suppose if that’s the worst I’ve had I’m lucky.

    Tell me yours!

    Oh geez...where to begin..:blobtears

When I was little my knees and elbows were always bruised, looking back now feels like I had a problem with balance but nope...just me trying to be cool on my bike infront of the older kids

Once my grandpa set up a swin for me, we have this set up of metal tubes and stuff for the grape vines so we attached the swing on one of the metal tubes. It was fine and I wouldn`t have gotten hurt if I wasn`t a little shit and swung too hard, the tube shifted and fell right on my head cracking it. Lots of blood, paniced grandparents and bloody towel that scared my mom when she came home. I`m fine though, still have the scar! :hurr

My biggest injury of all times would be when I broke my chin. Yep, was a gruesome day. My dad picked me up and we went to a wedding, some family friends or w.e I don`t remember. So me and the other kids went to play in the old kindergarden next to the restaurant where the wedding was, it had been closed for a few years ( a shame, i had fun going there as a babu). So me being the "badass" I am climbed on the tallest jungle gym i could find and just hanged there like a monkey and was going to do the whole land on my feet from really high up. So i did, I let go but failed to notice the few broken bricks right under the jungle gym where i was hanging. So i stepped on one and lost my balance and landed on my face with chin right on the other brick, so much blood so much pain. Got rushed to the hospital in the next town where they sew and bandaged me up but the fucks did a terrible job because when i came home the next day and mom took me to the hospital to check on the wound. The stupid ass doctors did such a bad job, they covered the wound so tightly it couldnt breath and it got infected so i had to get new stitches and thank god they did it properly. But the scar remains.

There was also this one time when i wanted to help my grandparents clean the wood stove and reached for the barrel with all the ashes but didn`t see the sides were melted and pointy so my right arm got a nice looooong scratch. Even now you can see a small black bit in the scar, some coal or ash stuck there foreveeeeeer

There was also the accident with smacking my side on those metal balls the older cars had in the back, tripped on the walk when rushing to get home since a huge storm was happening and smacked my side right into that metal ball. Felt like all my air got punched out and i laid there for good 1-2 minutes, sadly no ppl were out so had to put on a brave face and crawl home. Was left with a really nasty bump on my side when you feel it, as in there was like a ball when you press my side. Sometimes i wonder if i fucked up my body with not going to the doctor, feels like i can still feel it when i press hard.

Surprisingly, I've never broken anything or got a concussion considering I have been doing TKD for over 15 years :hestonpls
I guess I'm just that sturdy.
Never torn a muscle either and never had to get a cast.

The worst was probably when a rusty old tool box dug into my shin pretty deep. The side of the box. I think I saw my bone too and my sock was bloody as heck.

Crushed the fingers on my left hand in a winch, damage was so bad they had to bring in a specialist to do surgery on the blood vessels in my middle finger.

I was very nearly an amputee and to this day it's a bit deformed.

Last summer I tried to ride those big ass long ass bikes. I was riding it (sucked at it btw) until I bumped into my cousin and I hurt my genitalia. I jumped off the big bike and fucked up my right ankle that was my worst injury. Another pretty bad one was when I was in 7th grade. My brother was messing with me so I got up to chase him and I didn't see this big ass broken glass cup near the porch so I chased him outside and stepped on this big ass piece. So I start bitching and crying because the glass went so deep inside my right foot. My mom comes outside and is like let me fix it up for you so I'm like okay. Then she pulled out alcohol and castor oil and stuff to fix me up. As soon as I saw the needle I tried running away only for my brother to hold me down. Even after my mom stitched me up the injury bleed out the bandage for 3 days. The scar is surprisingly not that big but its still ugly AF.....

Probably when I had to get stitches between my toes after slipping on a water slide and hitting a metal railing (I was 12). My toes are still slightly misaligned and I've never gone on a water slide again since then.

Surprisingly, even though I've been in other situations that could have caused serious injuries (like falling off a galloping horse) I managed to not damage anything too badly.

I fell off my bike when I was younger and broke my wrist. Oh and a couple years ago at work I spilt boiling hot water on my foot and it went right through my shoe..it created a giant blister and it was so painful after it popped. It took several weeks to heal.

Probably my nose. I fell down the steps as a kid and there was a pretty bad cut there.

Fell off a motorbike and burnt my arm pretty badly. It turns I was allergic to the ointment I was given at hospital so I ended with a burnt and full of little injuries arm. I only have two scars now so it ended pretty good but damn, that hurt.

My head got sliced open when I was 8 by the thorns of one of those tiny palm tree variants. Was playing hide and seek, moved when the game ended, thorns scraped into my head and embedded themselves neatly.

Was bleeding, had to go to the hospital, they poured alcohol into the wound and stapled me without anything to numb me.

I spent the next few nights in pure agony completely unable to sleep, just crying and wishing I was dead.

Then later while the wound was healing but before the staples were removed I bumped my head various times in that spot and ended up pulling thorns out of the wound.

I hope it will be the worst pain I ever experience quite frankly.

A knife injury. Got liquid stitches for it.

And a hematoma. Half the back of my head was swollen.

I think I sprained my thumb during Wrestling practice back in High School (we were doing cartwheels across the gymnasium and I landed on it). I was afraid that I wouldn't be allowed to compete with a thumb cast (or some shit) on, so I stayed hush about it and it took well over a year before I stopped feeling pain on touch.

I have been very fortunate to have suffered only minor injuries during my life; the worst that ever happened to me was that I accidentally cut my finger with a knife at the restaurant at which I work several years ago; the pain was intense, but I had it stitched, and it has recovered perfectly.

Early June this year, I was doing some heavy lifting and I woke up on a Thursday with slight discomfort in my right hip.

By the time Thursday night came around, it was HELL. The pain went from right above my right butt cheek, all the way down to my knee. I was in bed all day Friday and Saturday. Getting out of bed was a 2 minute struggle, and peeing, itself, was painful since leaning at any angle shot pain everywhere.

Moving in bed, was painful. Getting in and out of my car, was a hurdle. I gained empathy for people, and realized I'd been taking my alright health for granted.

For about a week, life was shit. Then it lessened. It took about 5 weeks for complete recovery.
