Would you accept him instead of Kathleen Kennedy as the decision maker for Star Wars?

I think Snyder could potentially be a good Star Wars director, but only if he has someone like Lucas watching over his shoulder. Snyder is at his best when he's working with someone else's narrative.

If you thought Mark Hamill incredulously questioning what Luke had become in VIII was heartbreaking, you probably would have gotten cancer after seeing what Zack would have done with him.

I think Zach's a swell director tho, but his twisted cynicism just wouldn't synergize well with audience expectations for this universe, just like it didn't with Supes and Batman. Kennedy seems to have a cynical streak to her too, and that isn't meshing with audience expectations either, but I'm pretty sure Snyder would take it further into a far less comfortable and far less marketable destination.

Snyder has no clue how to make a movie fun. Everything has to be bleak or dark or gritty. He'd have Chewbacca cannibalize Han Solo's corpse or something.

Would I like to see a SW movie by him? Sure, if anything I think it is going to be interesting. Would I think it would be good? That I am not so sure about.

Didn't he make Superman more human like Luke Skywalker. Wasn't that people's issue with him?

I think Man of Steel is just fine and i love the movie.

If a remake of the New Hope grossed that much something iteresting should gross big also.

Juts because Man of Steel was not perfect Supe, does not mean it was not optimistic.

    Why not?

His remake was a success, 300 was a success, Man of Steel must have done okay....

I thought Man of Steel was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Destruction porn combined with a terrible understanding of the characters(i.e. Jonathan Kent telling Clark to let his classmates die? Wtf?) and endless shakey cam. It's right up there with TLJ in terms of ruining a franchise.

This is the 21 century, you cannot trust the government.

    Nothing WTF about it.

It did not feel like endless shakey cam for me.

When superheroes clash shit gets fucked up.

"Man of Steel" was pretty boring. "Batman Vs Superman" wasn't good, but I thought it was 'better'. "Justice League" sucked though.

"300" was Snyders only exceptional movie, although "Dawn of the Dead" was aight and "Watchmen" might've had its flaws, but I thought it was still pretty good. "Sucker Punch" was a trainwreck, although at least it was an ambitious one.

That is one thing I do appreciate about Snyder. His movies always seem more ambitious than they need to be, even if his efforts often backfire on him.

Isn't the main complaint about Superman that he needs to be more saintly in the DCU?

Main complaint is that he’s such a fucking downer.

People wanted more scenes like the interview scene in Superman: The Movie, not a montage of Superman being a buzzkill while saving people like in BvS, or his dad telling him that he should have considered letting a bus full of children drown a la MoS

You can argue that the old Fantastic Four wouldn't have worked either...but does that make the darker, edgier, 2015 reboot better?

I wish they could go back to that ole racist, misogynistic Superman.
