I'm a sucker for shoujo. :tem

I read Ayashi no ceres and Alice 19th. Didn't liked them much - the heroines were way too girlish and clueless and helpless, I just couldn't relate to any of them. Nice art and pretty boys tho.

Read them to. Her "herione" characters are sometimes to annoying for my tastes. Bad representation of girls.

Yeah, her heroines were pretty terrible. But I especially didn't like Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi. Her personality pretty much sucked yet every boy fell in love with her. Even Nuriko! (For those who don't know, he's gay.)

Trying to get into Fushigi Yugi but the developing relationship between Miaka and Tamahome makes me wanna hurl.

Currently, I'm reading Absolute Boyfriend serialized in Shojo Beat and it's much lighter though not as funny. Charming, nonetheless.

Yes. Yuu-san's heroines are rather pathetic to look at. Though her plot and world are wonderful and interesting.

I think FY Genbu Kaiden's heroine is okay and interesting. :amuse

Yes Gendu characters are good (The priestess is much more interesting:amuse ). However her main character Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi annoyed me to hell. Why did all the seishi fall in love with her when she was soo annoying?!:blink

I really don't see what's so charming about MiakaxTamahome or Miaka herself at all. Except of course, they're pretty to look at. I find her a little shallow and tasteless and well stupid. True that she has a good heart but everything she does just doesn't have any results or something that I can admire but give her the saving grace that she is the heroine. It was kind of sad to see all the seishi falling in love with her and hell! Even Amiboshi!!

Her Genbu characters are definitely good and better than Fushigi Yuugi...Watase is getting somewhat better with heroine portrayal but she still needs a lot of work.

I've read Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres. Well, almost every Watase's female characters are really hard to like. Miaka and Yui >.> But I like Ceres and Soi (from FY), Aya is tolerable.

Heh, the main reason why I like Yuu Watase is Nuriko <333
